USA Almond Market Update – February 2022

The 2022 Almond crop bloom in California has begun, with many growers having reported seeing bloom up to a week early in comparison to last year. Weather conditions have recently been regarded as dreamlike, with warm weather and sunshine encouraging the early bloom. Drought in the region had been perceived as bad news for the 2022 crop, however many analysts now estimate that the crop yield will not be as drastically affected as it had been viewed previously. January 2022 was one of the driest months on record, with temperatures on the rise steadily into early February.
