Slow demand has pushed farmers and packers to decrease their prices, as some are holding vast stocks over the Christmas period. The price ease we have seen in recent weeks has caused farmers concern and made them think twice about what crop to produce in 2025. High production and low demand will more than likely continue to cause concern amongst the market for next season should farmers switch their crops.
