Millet

Going into 2024, not a great deal has changed in the Millet market. Prices have remained fairly stable at current levels. There are some deals to be had on short-term positions, however, contracts further out will grant a bit of a premium. Looking to the U.S. it remains much more expensive by comparison to European material.

Pumpkin

Shine skin raw material prices are starting to firm as the season rolls on and stocks start to deplete, traders now hold the majority of stock as farmers need the extra cash. Traders will no doubt try and hold onto this raw material which in turn will inevitably push up prices, especially with Chinese New Year so close. In a similar situation with GWS, materials are dwindling, however, there has been a decrease in demand which has stabilised the market somewhat.
