Canadian Lentils Snapshot Update!
Markets are still slowing down this week, but with India's bean import limitations being decreased, practically the whole lentil business is certain that India will soon step in to buy big quantities of lentils, albeit this demand is still unknown. Most growers in Canada are preoccupied with sowing new crops, which they are doing in extremely dry weather with little rain in the forecast.
As a result of this, plus the fact that Canada's lentil stocks are depleting, growers are reluctant to sell at the moment, hoping that prices will continue to rise before harvest.
