CHILE
Chile is facing a lot more showers than normal during summer. This is caused by the El Nino-effect. So far this is having no effect on the crop development. However during the harvest -starting within 3 weeks from now- and drying season -mid Feb till end March- they need dry weather!
So far the indicated crop volume is a little lighter compared to last season.
ARGENTINA:
Where Chile is having more showers Argentina (Mendoza area) is reporting more thunderstorms with hail. It is too early to report a serious negative effect on the crop however we are not too positive.
